Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc.
(FREE) and The LENZ Winery to Host Reception for Art Exhibition Created by
Individuals with Autism And Other Developmental Disabilities

Meet the artists’ reception Friday, July 11 from 5pm-8pm

OLD BETHPAGE, NY (June 24, 2014) – Family Residences and Essential Enterprises,
Inc. (FREE), a not-for-profit agency that supports more than 3,5 00 individuals
with different abilities on Long Island, together with The LENZ Winery, one of
Long Island’s oldest and most prestigious North Fork vineyards, will host a
“Meet the Artists’” reception to celebrate a special exhibition created by
individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, Friday, July 11
from 5-8 p.m. at The LENZ Winery located at 38355 Rt. 25 - Main Road in
Peconic, NY., telephone, 631-734-6010. The exhibit, “Future Fossils” runs from June 25th,
2014 through Labor Day.

The artists participate in Art Therapy Programs offered by FREE, a leader in
the field of human services dedicated to helping individuals of all abilities
to realize their full potential and prevail over life’s challenges. Art Therapy
provides a powerful means for healing and communication for anyone, but
especially for people who find it difficult to express their thoughts and
feelings through spoken words alone.

The sculptural depictions on view reflect the artists’
work with clay as they delved back into time and explored the field of
archaeology and artifacts of the past. The artists were inspired by the
concepts they found and vigorously grabbed onto clay as they developed what
would eventually become the “Future Fossils” exhibit. Each sculpture was
individually carved, molded and painted.
