Community Corner

Whole Foods Market Day of Service

What better time than the start of the school
year to help your fellow students and neighbors by participating in a food
share?

Join Food Not
Bombs
 and Whole Foods Market
Jericho and Manhasset
on Sunday, September 8th from 2-5pm
as we distribute food and school supplies. Help us empower our community members
and allieviate the stress of providing healthy and nutritious foods to their
family.

Food Not Bombs is an organization comprised
of volunteers who are dedicated to providing nutrition and a sense of community
to those who need it most. From their website:

"At
our Hempstead Food Share we set up tables with fruits, veggies, breads, prepared
meals, frozen foods, deserts and hot vegan meals. We also share clothing, toys,
books, toiletries, seeds, plants, flowers, school/educational supplies,
information and other essentials."

We will have activities for children and adults of
all ages - this is your chance to help your community, bond with your family,
and inspire your children to be the example that is needed to make this world a
better place!
