LI's Finest Food and Wine Shine at 'Great Chefs'

Hundreds attend annual fundraising event for Family Service League of Huntington.

More than 400 guests attended the 21st annual Great Chefs of Long Island fundraiser for Family Service League of Huntington Sunday at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

The event featured dishes from over 40 of Long Island's top restaurants and wines from the East End's best vineyards. A full list of participating restaurants, including those from the Plainview area, can be found here.  

The evening's honorees included Joe Secreti of Cactus Salon & Spas receiving the Corporate Leadership Award, Joseph Shaffery receiving the Vaughan Spilsbury Advocacy Award, and Ted Ryder receiving the Community Leadership Award.

Proceeds benefited the Family Service League of Huntington, which works with state and county governments, private foundations, benefactors from the business sector, and individual contributors to helps individuals and families to mobilize their strengths and improve the quality of their life.
