Vote for Your Favorite Children's Book at Library
Plainview residents can cast their votes for the Caldecott Medal, awarded to authors of children's books.
The Plainview-Old Bethpage Library is holding a mock election this weekend so residents can cast their votes for their favorite children's book.
Library Director Gretchen Browne said the voting will take place in the Family Center for the residents' favorite Caldecott Medal award winning book.
Votes will be cast in a real voting booth beginning Friday and continuing through Monday. It's all in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Caldecott Medal for children's books.
