Halloween Forecast for Plainview is Spooky

Chance of rain increases as afternoon turns into night on Thursday

The National Weather Service is forceasting that Halloween trick-or-treating could come with a spooky bit of wet weather.

Thursday's forecast for Plainview and vicinity is a 20 percent chance of showers in the afternoon and a 40 percent of evening showers. Temperatures should be in the mid-60s during the afternoon and dropping into the mid-50s by nightfall, the National Weather Service predicts.

The showers, if they come at all, are not expected to be heavy, but your ghosts and ghouls may want to keep an umbrella handy.

Rain or shine, the celebration will be on and we want you to share your Halloween pictures with us. Upload them directly to our Snapshots Blog, just like this one from by Tom Luckscheiter. And please send us photos of your homes decorated for the holiday.
