Community Menorah Lighting Set for Monday at MHJC

Gathering at synagogue is set for 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday.

The Manetto Hill Jewish Center will hold its annual Community Menorah Lighting
on Monday, Dec. 2.

The event is from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the synagogue on Manetto Hill Road in Plainview.

Refreshments will be served.

Meanwhile, the Mid-Island Y-JCC in Plainview will hold it's community Menorah Lighting on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 5:30 p.m., followed by the 6th Annual "World Series of Dreidels."

Wednesday, Nov. 27
Northport Village will put up a menorah at the foot of Main Street, 6:35 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 29
Temple Beth El, Huntington, 7 p.m. Family Hannukah Shabbat. Bring menorahs and candles.

Monday, Dec. 2
Huntington Town Hall,  5 p.m.

Dix Hills Jewish Center, 6:30 p.m., Sixth Night Out celebration of Hannukah.

East Northport Jewish Center, 6:45 p.m. Group lighting, with children and clergy of the East Northport Jewish Center. The temple's rabbi and cantor will provide blessings and songs to celebrate the Festival of Lights. Chocolate gelt will be handed out to attendees.

Friday, Dec. 6
Temple Beth Torah, Melville, 6:30 p.m. Shabbat service for families of any age;  includes a performance by a teen band.
