box on the light pole

A box, it might be a camera, has been placed on the light pole in front of my house on Jamaica Avenue. Traffic control came by  and looked at it and said they did not install it. I called PSEG and asked them about it and they said they knew nothing about it. Cam  anyone tell  me what it is and who installed it?
