Tell Us: Islanders Returning; Do You Care?

Abbreviated season will be among team's last in Nassau County.

The Islanders are conducting open practices this week in anticipation of a lockout-shortened season that will consist of about 50 games.

And it will be one of the last seasons in Nassau County: The NHL team is expected to move to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn after the 2014-15 season.

At this late date in the hockey season, we're wondering, do you even care?

Will Islanders' hockey will disappear from Long Island's consciousness or will the team's fans follow them to Brooklyn?

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
