A two-car rush hour crash left five people injured and required to free a trapped woman from her crumpled car.
Firefighters and Nassau County emergency service and patrol units responded to the crash about 5:20 p.m. on Old Country Road at Lincoln Gate.
They discovered a woman trapped inside her vehicle and four other injured victims, firefighters said. Emergency personnel used the and to free the trapped woman, firefighters said
Four of the victims were taken to Nassau University Medical Center. The fifth victim was transported to nearby . The conditions of the victims could not be learned.
Old Country Road was clogged in both directions and closed westbound during the evening commute.
