An 85-year-old Bethpage man suffering from dementia and high blood pressure drove off in a car Tuesday and hasn't been seen since, Nassau Police said.
Emmet O'Shaughnessy was last seen driving away from a home on Miami Road in Bethpage about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was driving tan-colored 2005 Accord bearing the New York plates: BGH 8656.
O'Shaughnessy was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, blue jeans and a silver watch, police said in their Silver Alert early Wednesday.
The Silver Alert Program disseminates information to hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or others suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.
