The Plainview man accused of selling heroin last week on Old Country Road and in Franklin Square remains behind bars at the Nassau County Jail, awaiting a new court date Thursday, authorities said.
Jonathan Rogge remains locked up on $8,500 cash or bond, the district attorney's office said Monday.
The case was adjourned to Thursday when Rogge is expected to return to court. He had not made bail by Monday afternoon.
Rogge, 24, of 18 Heather Lane, Plainview, was arrested Tuesday and later charged with felony drug sale counts. Six others were charged with drug possession counts in connection with the same narcotics sting.
Two other Plainview-area men were among those charged with heroin possession. All of them have been released. At least one other man accused in the case was a former Plainview resident, police and community sources said.
Nassau Detectives said Rogge met with Brian Cosenza, 20, of John Drive, Old Bethpage, on Old Country Road at Grohmans Lane about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rogge handed Cosenza a box of cigarettes in exchange for cash, police said. Police would later arrest both men.
Rogge drove away in a Jeep and was followed by undercover police. He was arrested as another alleged drug deal went down in Franklin Square about a half hour later Tuesday, police said.
Sean Murphy, 23, of 2 Violet Lane, Plainview, was later accused of heroin possession. Murphy was in Rogge's vehicle when Rogge was arrested.
