Alert Issued for Hicksville Man Missing Now 10 Days

Cops issue "Silver Alert" for an Alzheimer's victim with ties to Huntington.

An Alzheimer's patient with ties to Huntington has gone missing from his Hicksville home for 10 days and Nassau Police need help finding him.

David Martinez, 68, was last seen on April 27 in his home in Hicksville. Martinez formerly lived in Huntington, where he may attempt to return, police said.

Martinez, who only speaks Spanish, is described as 5-feet, 155 pounds and balding. He has used an alias or family name of Isabel Sanchez.

The Silver Alert was issued by Nassau Police Monday afternoon, 10 days after the man was last seen. The program disseminates information to local media, hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.

Many of those reported missing are located.

Call 911 if you know where Mr. Martinez is located. You may also pass tips to Plainview Patch and we'll pass them confidentially to authorities.
