Attempted Robbery at Plainview Drug Store

Nassau detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred in Plainview on Thursday afternoon.

According to detectives, an unknown male subject, 5’10” tall, medium build, wearing a stocking type mask entered at 720 Old Country Road about 12:45 p.m. and walked behind the pharmacy counter.

The area is restricted to employees only. The subject began to look at bottles of assorted pharmaceuticals on the store shelves and then left without any proceeds.

The man was seen walking east in the Central Park Plaza Shopping Center and then entered a black auto. The vehicle sped off eastbound on Evelyn Road.

Two employees and three customers were present during the burglary. No injuries were reported.
