Bethpage Citibank Robbed; 3 Men Flee

Cops: Suspects handed note to teller; threatened to use gun.

A Citibank branch on Hicksville Road in Bethpage was robbed by three men Saturday.

Nassau County detectives said the three men entered the bank at 500 Hicksville Road about 11:40 a.m. and handed a note to a teller.

One threatened to use a gun if the teller didn't comply, but no gun was displayed, detectives said. The teller handed over some cash and the subjects fled on foot in an unknown direction. 

Five employees and no customers were present in the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.

The subjects are described as one black man, about 6’6” tall with a dark complexion and two Hispanic men, with no further description available.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous, police said.
