Bethpage Man Charged in Hometown Burglary

Physical evidence left behind at the scene leads detectives to suspect.

Nassau Detectives, working with physical evidence left at the scene, have charged a Bethpage man with a burglary in his own community.

Police have charged Joseph V. Isola, 23, of 44 Miller Road, Bethpage in connection with a recent burglary at Norcross Avenue.

Police said Isola broke through a rear window and removed assorted jewelry and electronics from the home before fleeing the scene.

Detectives examined physical evidence left at the scene that led them to Isola. he was arrested without incident about 1 p.m. Thursday.

Isola is charged with second-degree burglary and was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead.
