Bethpage Burglary Suspect Due in Court

Suspect stands accused of three burglaries in his neighborhood, including one where he was confronted by the homeowner.

A Bethpage man accused of several burglaries is scheduled to return to court next week.

Nassau police had charged Kristopher Lospitalier, 23, of 80 S. Millpage Dr.  in connection with three burglaries in the neighborhood.

Detectives with the Eighth Precinct said that on Feb.1, a 62-year-old woman was awakened from an afternoon nap by an intruder. The woman screamed and chased the man from her bedroom, said.

The woman was unharmed; the suspect fled through her backyard.

During the subsequent probe, detectives determined that Lospitalier was also responsible for an attempted burglary and the burglary of two other residences on S. Millpage Drive in the first week of February. He was arrested a few days later at his home without incident.

He is scheduled to appear in First District Court.

I have seen kids having a tough time crossing Jamaica Ave because of this twisted definition of STOP. If anything, this is a good way to relearn what should of been taught in drivers ed. When I moved to Plainview, people at a stop sign would signal the driver that got there first to go. Now it's a race to the stop sign and fly by it to avoid having the other guy go first.
