A car burst into flames on the North Service Road of the Long Island Expressway Wednesday morning.
Plainview firefighters responded to the blaze in the vicinity of Round Swamp Road and quickly doused the blaze and secured the scene.
The smoke and fire closed the North Service Road near Round Swamp Road for about 30 minutes and caused rubbernecking delays on the LIE.
No one was injured in the fire. The cause is under investigation, firefighters said.
