SUV Catches Fire at Plainview Gas Station

Firefighters put out flames within 40 feet of the gas pumps.

An SUV caught fire at a in Plainview shortly before noon Wednesday within 40 feet of the gas pumps, firefighters said.

In bitter cold temperatures, responded to the 11:45 a.m. call at Round Swamp Road just off the and quickly doused the blaze before it could spread.

No injuries were reported.
