On Thursday, several homes in Plainview were briefly evacuated when a gas main was struck. How concerned are you about this type of accident?
Some homeowners on Roxton Road experienced a few anxious moments Thursday morning.
They had to be evacuated after some workers in the area struck a gas main.
Firefighters had to disperse the gas while utility workers fixed the problem and residents were back inside within an hour.
Most problems of this type are easily solved, but earlier this month an explosion at Nyack College that injured 7 people was blamed on a gas leak.
