Damn dumb kids....i was thinking the other day how much money would it cost to make a police officer walk a beat....or get on a bike and interact with the communities,,,its the same groups wandering around at night, the same groups heading to plainview to commit burglaries since its known for money, poor police enforcement, and offers good cover...

TJ, the NCPD is already understaffed, so it would cost A LOT of money to get cops back on foot posts or bike patrols. Also, burglaries, mostly, are committed by people from out of county. Not many burglaries a committed by juveniles. However, criminal mischiefs are a juvenile problem. But, whatever happened to parents keeping an eye on their kids? Why are they out after midnight, or out on school nights? And, I have to say that I know a lot of the police officers who work in Plainview and they work hard to protect the people of this town. It doesn't help that the county is understaffed and when the officers in Hicksville are busy with shoplifters or other nonsense, the cops who are supposed to be patrolling Plainview are pulled into Hicksville.

What does plainview pay in taxes compared to hicksville?? The tax payers have to pay more because there are few tax payers in hicksville...in hicksville you can find a school classroom with 8 children out of 25 who have parents that contribute to school tax....The red light cameras are a quick money making scam in a last ditch effort...The tax payer on Long Island can no longer pay for the rest.....And even with the nations high taxes, the leaders still need more money...no one wants to do anything about illegals because that racist, but to be so naive that its bankrupts your society,,no where in the world would natives let outsiders to that....They work a large majority of jobs and send their paycheck off the island and out of the country..and when things are completely broken on L.I. they have the option of getting up and returning home where they sent all that legal tender.....And is that not a great mental picture...a destroyed Long ISland with a Long Islander scratching their head....
