Cops: Bethpage Man Sold Heroin From Home

Suspect arrested at home; is charged with sale and possession.

Nassau detectives have charged a Bethpage man with selling heroin from his home on Caroline Street. 

Nicholas Callegari, 30, of 44 Caroline St., was home on Sept. 17 when he sold a quantity of heroin to another person for an undisclosed amount of cash at about 10 p.m., police said. 

Following an investigation, narcotics detectives on Tuesday arrested Callegari at his home.

Callagari is being charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, police said. He will be arraigned on Wednesday in First District Court, Hempstead.
