Cops Make Arrest in TD Bank Robbery

Brooklyn man charged with robbing Hicksville bank on Feb. 1.

A Brooklyn man faces robbery charges after he reportedly held up a nearby bank earlier this month, according to Nassau County Police.

Detectives arrested Marshall S. Bertoli, 52, of Brooklyn, for robbing TD Bank on North Broadway in Hicksville.

Cops said Bertoli approached a 33-year-old male teller at the bank and presented him a note saying he had a gun. Bertoli demanded cash in the note and the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, police reported.

The incident was reported at 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 1.

Four customers and three employees were in the bank at the time of the holdup. None reported any injuries, police said.

Bertoli was charged with third-degree robbery. He will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
