Cops: Man Wearing Obama Cap Robs Bethpage Bank

The robbery occurred Wednesday morning, police said.

A man wearing a cap with President Barack Obama’s face on it robbed a bank in Bethpage Wednesday morning, authorities said. 

Nassau Police say a man entered the Chase Bank at 4276 Hempstead Turnpike and presented a demand note to the teller at 11:40 a.m. After receiving an unknown amount of cash, the then man fled in a brown two-tone SUV.

Police describe the man as black, in his mid-40s, approximately five-foot-nine, medium build, black hair, wearing a blue buttoned down dress shirt, and a brown baseball cap imprinted with President Obama’s face.

There were four employees and two customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
