Crash Closes Manetto Hill Road For Hours

Three occupants are suffered minor injuries in horrific-looking wreck.

Three people suffered minor injuries after their car slammed into another vehicle on Manetto Hill Road Friday afternoon, Nassau County Police said Saturday.

The crash took place shortly after 2 p.m. in front of 100 Manetto Hill Road and left the car crumpled. The occupants were able to free themselves from the wreckage and were out of the vehicle when firefighters and police officers arrived.

At least one of the victims, a young man, was transported to an area hospital; his injuries and those of the other occupants were not life threatening, police said.

Police closed the road for several hours in the vicinity of the crash to conduct a routine investigation.

Nassau police said the no one has been charged in connection with the incident.
