UPDATE: Old Country Road Re-opened After Crash

Infant, two others transported to hospitals; police investigation underway.

A two-car crash has left three people injured, including an infant, and forced the closure of eastbound Old Country Road at Grohmans Lane, Nassau County Police said Wednesday.

An infant was transported to a local hospital after the crash. Two adults were also transported by ambulance to local hospitals, police said. Their conditions could not be immediately learned.

The cause and further details of the crash, which took place in front of the McDonald's Restaurant, could not be immediately learned. Police reported that the roadway has been re-opened as of 12:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Plainview Firefighters were at the scene of the crash and secured the area, authorities said.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
