Kings Park
Suffolk County police arrested Clarence Newcomb, a 25-year-old Kings Park man, for allegedly killing his grandmother after a verbal argument on Friday. Kathleen Newcomb, 82, was found dead in her Berg Avenue home at 4:35 a.m. Friday. Police said they responded to a 911 call made by a man who said a woman was lying on the floor. When police arrived, Clarence Newcomb confessed that he had assaulted his grandmother, police said. Newcomb was charged with manslaughter Friday. A Suffolk County Judge on Sunday denied bail for Newcomb, according to Newsday.

Huntington Station
Suffolk County police charged Gregory Roosa Monday afternoon with possession of stolen goods after an officer spotted him with two bags of items that had been stolen from cars in Huntington Station. Roosa, was charged with five counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday.

Hicksville
Nassau County detectives charged a Uniondale man with armed robbery through DNA evidence contained on the suspect's baseball cap. Jesus Bellamy, 26, was taken into custody at the County Court complex in Mineola when he appeared on an unrelated charge Dec. 30. Bellamy was sought in connection with an April 20, 2012 robbery at Credit Solutions on Old Country Road in Hicksville, according to detectives with the Second Squad. Bellamy, of 196 Valcour Ave., Uniondale, entered the business at 550 West Old Country Road and confronted the firm's president, demanding money for credit repair services that Bellamy provided to the victim. During the verbal altercation, Bellamy pulled a handgun from his waistband and continued his threats for money, police said. A struggle ensued and the victim was able to wrestle the gun from Bellamy, who then fled the building.
Dix Hills
Suffolk County Police are seeking two suspects they said robbed a Dix Hills gas station at gunpoint on New Year’s Eve. According to police, the two men displaying handguns entered the Sunoco station at 765 Deer Park Ave., at 8:42 p.m. and stole cash and cigarettes. They fled on foot on New Jersey Street. Police said the suspects are black, with one man wearing a brown jacket with yellow stitching, possibly an Ed Hardy jacket.
Happaugue
A police investigation is underway in the Friday robbery of TD Bank in Hauppauge. According to Suffolk County police, the robber — described as a 5-foot-8-inch- to 5-foot-10-inch-tall black man who appeared to be roughly 30 to 40 years old — entered the bank and approached a teller with a note demanding cash at 3:45 p.m. Police said the teller complied and gave him cash. The robber then fled the 425 Route 347 location on foot heading east, police reported. The robber was wearing a black baseball cap, gloves, and a black bubble-down style jacket, according to police.
Farmingdale
Suffolk County Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who stole a woman’s purse from her car while it was parked in a residential area in East Farmingdale. The incident dates to Wednesday, Dec. 19, when the woman parked her 2011 GMC Acadia in the driveway of a home on Birch Avenue in East Farmingdale about 6 p.m. The women left her pocketbook on the front passenger seat while she went inside her friend’s house for a brief visit. The subject is described as a light-skinned male wearing jeans and a dark jacket with a light colored hooded sweatshirt underneath.
