According to detectives, on June 21, 2011 Kaisem Watkins, 23 years old, of 1425 Harrison St., Elmont entered a residence in Hicksville by breaking a bedroom window. When the victim returned home he discovered a bloody paper towel lying on the floor, noticed his credit card was missing and called the credit company to report it. The victim was informed that his card has been used in a Target store in Hicksville. Detectives responded to Target and viewed the defendant, who had a towel wrapped around his wrist, on store surveillance purchasing bandages with the card. On July 10, 2011 at 5:05 p.m. Target Loss Prevention notified police that the defendant entered the store. Second Precinct police officers responded and located the defendant in the Broadway Mall where he was arrested.

On May 1, 2010, the defendant entered a residence on Harrison Street in Elmont by breaking a rear window. Once inside he ransacked the home and took assorted jewelry. The Crime Scene Unit responded and was able to lift a latent impression off of the broken window. The latent print was identified to be the defendant's.
