from the Coach store in Woodbury. The incident occurred on Aug. 4, and police gave the update with the total amount of bags stolen on Wednesday.

A woman's pocketbook was stolen from her cart at the in Syosset on Aug. 4.

On Aug. 3, a woman's handbag and merchandise was stolen from her shopping cart she was loading her child into her car outside the Marshall's shopping center in Jericho.

Police arrested Gladys Smith-Pinto, 58, and Gladys Smith, 38, both of Oyster Bay, and charged them with with Grand Larceny in the fourth degree.

 

Hicksville

The Eighth Squad reported the details of the arrests of two men for grand larceny that occurred on Wednesday at 12:35 p.m. in Hicksville.

According to detectives the two defendants, Jonathan Dixon 27, of 236 Parkway Boulevard, Wyandanch and Michael Hayden 21, of Andrews Avenue, Roosevelt entered the Verizon Wireless store at 756 South Broadway where they requested information about iPhones. When the employee stepped away from the counter, the defendants broke the glass display case and removed two Iphones.

The defendants fled the store and were stopped a short time later by a Second Precinct police officer on the entrance ramp of the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway and arrested.

The defendants were both charged with grand larceny fourth-degree and criminal mischief third-degree.

 

Lindenhurst

Frederick Elizondo, North Babylon, charged, Lindenhurst, criminal trespassing, second degree.

Anthony Dolan, North Lindenhurst, charged, North Lindenhurst, harassment, second, physical contact.

 

Fire Island

A Fire Island resident reported criminal mischief to a flag pole.

 

Bellmore

A Mae Court resident saw a man in his driveway early in the morning of  Aug.9. When the complainant went outside, the man fled in a silver vehicle. The complainant discovered his 2007 black Pontiac scratched on all sides. He also found that the side mirrors were broken and front tire was flat.

 

Levittown

A man claiming to have a gun robbed the  located inside  along Hempstead Turnpike on Aug.12, according to police.

According to police detectives, a man between the ages of 40 and 50 entered the store at approximately 10:05 a.m., showed a teller  a note and said that he had a gun. He fled on foot after taking an unknown amount of money.
