Pair charged in theft of packages left outside Lindenhurst homes.

Lindenhurst

Two Lindenhurst men were charged with three counts of criminal possession of stolen property on Tuesday after Suffolk Police found them to be holding several packages that had been recently reported stolen from the front of homes in Lindenhurst.

Following an investigation by First Precinct Crime Section officers, police arrested Colby Fiedler, 19, and Vincenzo Francese, 19, at Fiedler’s home in Lindenhurst at about 5 p.m. Tuesday.

During the past three weeks, police said, several residents in Lindenhurst reported that packages that had been delivered and left in front of their homes had been taken.

Hicksville: 

A middle-aged man armed with a stun gun threatened a store clerk on South Oyster Bay Road Monday and fled with the contents of the cash register, Nassau Police said.

 said the robbery occurred just after 3 p.m. Monday at the 50% Off Card Store on the Hicksville side of South Oyster Bay Road. The man approached the counter and demanded money from a 24-year-old cashier.

The man, described as 45-years-old wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants, sunglasses and appearing unshaven, then went behind the counter and took an undetermined amount of cash from the register, police said.

The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported.

Farmingdale

Two men have been arrested and charged with robbery in connection with an 

According to , Jordan Dissis, 18, of Spark Hill, N.Y. and Louis Bueno, 18, of Huntington, approached a male on Main Street, pointed a handgun at his chest and demanded his property.

One stood behind the 33-year-old victim with a large Maglite flashlight and threatened to hit the victim if he did not cooperate, police said. According to reports, the victim complied and handed the subjects his wallet, which contained $12 cash and personal papers, a maroon Metro PCS cell phone and his Adidas backpack before Dissis and Bueno fled on foot

Plainview

A Plainview couple were among nine people charged with stealing more than $282,000 in bogus 

Byung Jun, 42, and Myung Hee Jun, 43, of Plainview, face felony charges of  grand larceny, welfare fraud and filing falsified documents.

Between January 2006 and August 2009, the defendants stole more than $25,000 in undeserved Medicaid benefits by claiming on paperwork to only earn $650 per week, the D.A.'s office said. The defendants did not disclose annual deposits into personal bank accounts of between $73,000 and $175,000, as well as their ownership of a Hauppauge nail salon.

Both face up to seven years in prison if convicted. 

Huntington

Three people were charged with felony robbery counts in Huntington in recent days:

Cynthia Zaidi of Mastic Beach was charged in Huntington with second-degree robbery

Jason Westbay from Shirley was charged in Huntington with second-degree robbery.

Michael Ryan from Mastic Beach was charged in Huntington with second-degree robbery, aided by another.
