Driver Hospitalized After Car is Pinned Under Truck
Car becomes wedged under truck on Old Country Road.
A motorist collided with a box truck Wednesday morning in Plainview, leaving his car crumpled and wedged in between the truck's wheels, firefighters said.
The crash took place about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on Old Country Road. Plainview Fire Department and Nassau County Police units responded to the scene and discovered the drive of the Chrysler Sebring was suffering from chest pains.
The driver was transported to a local hospital; his condition could not be learned.
Two people in the truck were not injured in the collision. Police Emergency
Service Officers removed the car from under the truck and opened the
roadway, authorities said.
