Plainview firefighters battled a major inferno that tore through a home on Karen Lane Sunday morning.
Initial reports from the scene showed the home fully engulfed in flames shortly after firefighters arrived just after 10 a.m. Sunday. Photos from the scene show a fireball bursting through the roof of the two-story home at 4 Karen Lane.
Firefighters put at least three hose lines in operation to knock down the blaze and were still at the scene into the early afternoon.
There were no immediate reports of serious injuries at the fire.
The two-story private home belched black smoke high into a cloudless sky Sunday morning just south of Old Country Road off Gerhard. The home is just south of the Marriott Residence Inn.
