Forged Prescription Bust in Hicksville

Brooklyn man charged with attempting to obtain Oxycodone.

A Brooklyn man faces forgery charges after attempting to obtain oxycodone with a bogus prescription, said.

The Narcotics/Vice Bureau arrested Charles Martinez, age 51 of 766 Miller Ave., Brooklyn, Thursday, just before 1 p.m. at a .

According to detectives, Martinez presented a computer-generated New York State prescription for to the pharmacy on April 2, using a fictitious name.

An investigation revealed that the name and the prescription was fraudulent. When Martinez returned to the CVS Thursday to pick up the drugs he was placed into custody, detectives said.

Martinez was charged with possession of a forged instrument. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
