A construction lighting generator caught fire Monday about 9:20 p.m.
The Plainview Fire Department and Nassau County Police Highway Units responded to the fire, which broke out on the westbound lane of the Long Island Expressway at Round Swamp Road. The right lane was closed during the operation and no injuries were reported.
