Gunman Robs Hicksville Pharmacy of Narcotics

Cops hunt masked bandit after he makes off with stash of prescription drugs

An unknown man wearing a white surgical mask brandished a handgun at Harry's Pharmacy in Hicksville Monday morning and made off with a stash of narcotics, Nassau County Police said.

The suspect walked into the pharmacy about 9:50 a.m. Monday and displayed the gun to a 44-year-old employee, demanding Oxycodone. The suspect then walked behind the pharmacy counter and forced the worker to open a locked cabinet, Nassau County Police said.

The gunman grabbed several bottles of narcotics and fled on foot northbound on Broadway toward Roosevelt Street.

The gunman was described as a white male, 25 to 30, medium build, wearing a bright yellow jacket, dark baseball cap, a white surgical mask and gloves.

Two employees of the store at 333 South Broadway were present at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported.
