LIE Jammed for Hours From Bus Fire

Plainview Firefighters put out a strange, smokey blaze inside a disabled MTA bus.

If you were in the vicinity of the Long Island Expressway Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, you may have wondered what all the mess was about.

A being towed eastbound on the LIE caught fire just after 10 a.m. Plainview firefighters put out the stubborn blaze, but eastbound traffic came to a standstill at Exit 46.
