Massage Client Attacks, Abuses Worker in Hicksville Spa

Police hunting for man who cornered massage therapist, sexually abused her; asking public's help.

A naked man struggled with a massage therapist and sexually abused her before fleeing the Red Bell Spa in Hicksville, Nassau Police said.

The attack began when the unknown man entered the business on Newbridge Road and asked for a massage. The suspect was led to a room where he undressed and was told to lie on a table and cover himself with a blanket, police said.

When the massage therapist entered the room she found him standing, fully exposed and demanded he lay down and cover up.

But the suspect grabbed the woman's arm, demanding she perform a sex act on him. The woman retreated from the table but the suspect became agitated, rose from the table and cornered her, police said.

A struggle ensued and the man reportedly touched her in an "inappropriate sexual manner," police said.

The victim managed to get free and flee the room. Police were notified and the attacker fled by unknown means. No physical injuries were reported.

The incident, which took place Monday Jan. 6 about 7 p.m., remains under investigation.

Detectives described the suspect as a white man, 40-50 years old, about 5'-9" and 220 lbs., with a shaved head and beard. He came into the business wearing a long-sleeve tan colored tee shirt and blue jeans.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
