Newspaper Delivery Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Bethpage

Gunman orders man out of his vehicle, takes wallet and flees.

A newspaper delivery man was pulled from his vehicle at gunpoint early Thursday and robbed of his wallet in Bethpage, said.

The attacker approached the 27-year-old's vehicle on foot and displayed a black handgun about 5:30 a.m. Thursday on Carrie Avenue, according to

The gunman ordered the driver out of the vehicle, reached inside and removed the victim's wallet, containing an unknown amount of cash.The assailant then ran east from the scene along Carie Avenue, entered a red Nissan Maxima and sped off, police said.

The newspaper delivery man was unhurt. He gave police a detailed description.

The suspect is described as a 25 to 30 year-old black man, 6-foot tall, about 170 lbs. and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
