One Person Hurt in Head-On Crash On Old Country Road
Crash near Morton Village sends one person to a hospital, ties up roadway.
A two car head-on collision on Old Country Road Wednesday sent one person to a hospital and closed the roadway for about 25 minutes.
The crash happened just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Old Country Road and Joel Place, just west of the Morton Village Shopping Center. One of the cars came to rest beside a tree on the south side of Old Country Road.
One person was transported to Nassau University Medical Center with injuries authorities said. Another person was evaluated at the scene and released.
Plainview firefighters and Nassau Police responded to the scene with multiple pieces of equipment and secured the scene. The road reopened about 7:30 p.m.
