Photos: Cops Hunt for Clues

The early evening quiet of a Plainview neighborhood was shattered by shouts and screams Monday after a young man was stabbed by two assailants, police said.

Nassau cops descended on the corner of Jamaica Avenue and Orchard Street about 6:30 p.m. Detectives and uniformed officers canvassed the area, following a trail of blood left on the sidewalks. A young victim was rushed to a hospital. 

A helicopter and K-9 Units assisted in the manhunt for two attackers, described as teenagers.
