Plainview Fire Department Responds to Morning Accident

Two cars were involved in an auto accident on Wednesday morning at the intersection of Old Country Road and South Oyster Bay Road in Hicksville, firefighters said.

The and Nassau County police units responded to the scene of the vehicular crash at 8:07 a.m. One driver was transported to the , while the other declined medical attention at the scene of the accident.

Firefighters were able to secure both vehicles and cleaned up a fluid spill at the scene with speedy dry.

The northbound lanes on South Oyster Bay Road and Old Country Road’s eastbound lanes were congested for morning commuters, as the cars involved in the crash were blocking the road.
