Plainview Fire Department to Hold Open House Sunday
Free safety demonstrations are planned today for adults and kids.
The Plainview Fire Department is holding an fire prevention open house Sunday and the public is welcome.
Fire Chief Craig Robinson said the event will be held at fire headquarters on Old Country Road acrpss from Plainview Hospital
The volunteer department is planning live fire demonstrations and will have a smoke house on site. The department will also distribute toys and fire prevention coloring books, balloons and other accessories, Robinson said.

It is also an opportunity for the public to see Plainview's modern firefighting apparatus up close and meet the men and women who protect the community around the clock and all year round.
The open house starts at noon and ends around 3 pm.
