Plainview Firefighters Battle Car Fire in Morton Village
Firefighters arrive to find engine fully involved in front of China Dragon
The busy Morton Village Shopping Plaza was the scene of car fire Monday evening in front of the China Dragon restaurant.
Plainview firefighters received multiple calls for help beginning at 7:51 p.m. Monday of a car fire in front of the restaurant.
Firefighters from several Plainview companies converged on the scene and found the car's engine compartment completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly pulled to booster lines and extinguished the fire, authorities said.

Multiple Nassau County Police cars also responded to assist with traffic control.
No injuries were reported and all units were released from the scene shortly after 8:15 p.m.
