A smoky mid-morning fire in Bethpage did heavy damage to a home on Wilson Lane Saturday and set nearby power lines ablaze.
Plainview Firefighters were called to assist the Bethpage Fire Department at the blaze at 68 Wilson Lane. South Farmingdale's ladder was also called to assist in putting down the fire, which appeared to do substantial damage to the two-story home.
The fire, which was reported shortly after 9 a.m., was knocked down and brought under control quickly.
There were no reports of injuries.
