Plainview Firefighters Respond to LIE Crash

Three-car pileup slows traffic; minor injuries reported.

Plainview Firefighters responded to a three-car accident on the Long Island Expressway over the weekend that left one vehicle wedged beneath another.

Only minor injuries were reported in the incident, that took place Friday about 7:20 p.m. near Exit 45 of the LIE.

Traffic was backed up for some time following the crash as firefighters worked to remove the vehicles from the roadway.
