Plainview Home Heavily Damaged in Fire
Flames spread through Eton Place home Saturday evening.
A Plainview home suffered severe damage in an early evening fire Saturday, firefighters said.
The blaze began shortly after 6:30 p.m. in a home on Eton Place at Gainsville Drive and quickly spread through the second story and into the attic. Flames were visible shooting out of the front of the second floor window and on one side of the attic.
The fire brought a massive response from Plainview firefighters, who knocked down the second-floor blaze and then put out the attic fire. There were no reports of injuries to the occupants or firefighters.
Plainview firefighters were assisted at the scene by crews from Hicksville, Bethpage and Westbury.
