Plainview Woman Attacked, Shoved from Car

22-year-old victim was robbed of prescription oxycodone pills.

A Plainview woman was robbed of her prescription medication and pushed out of a vehicle by a Bellmore couple who was then arrested Thursday afternoon, Nassau County Police said.

The incident took place Thursday in Plainview when Megan Yanolatos, 31, picked up the 22-year-old victim and then drove and picked up Yanolatos' boyfriend, Michael Martaux, 32.

After driving to Daniel Drive and Phipps Lane in Plainview, Martaux reached over and grabbed the victim's pocketbook, which contained prescribed oxycodone pills, police said.

Yanolatos then struck the victim in the face and, when the victim began to fight back, Martaux pushed her out of the vehicle, police said.

The suspects fled the scene; the victim was treated for minor injuries.

After an investigation, Yanolatos and Martaux were arrested in Lindenhurst at 4:40 p.m. Thursday without incident and the oxycodone pills were recovered, cops said.

Both Yanolatos and Martaux are charged with second-degree robbery and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Their arraignment is scheduled for Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
