Police Units Respond to Disturbance Report at Plainview MVA

A collision on Old Country Road Wednesday afternoon caused a power outage at the and caused to respond in force to a reported disturbance at the incident, authorities said.

One car struck a utility pole in the collision at the intersection of Old Country Road and Margaret, knocking out power to the restaurant. 

When medical personnel responded to the scene to assist the drivers, they reported a disturbance involving people involved in the collision.

Multiple police units responded to the crash scene and took control of the confrontation, police and fire personnel said.

Traffic on Old Country Road near the collision site, just west of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway, was backed up for some time during the incident. Nassau Police had no reports of tickets related to the incident.

The occupants of the vehicles were not seriously hurt, authorities said.
