Solemn Reminders at Town's Oceanside Memorial

The anniversary of the 9/11 attacks captured in quiet photos at Oyster Bay's Sept. 11 Memorial.

Written By Edward Robinson

It was a beautiful, clear day Wednesday just as it was 12 years ago.

The warm weather made it a picture perfect day at Tobay Beach, but the Town' of Oyster Bay's Sept. 11 Memorial there served as a somber reminder of those we lost.

The flag in front of the memorial flew at half staff while many smaller flags and flowers were placed near the names of those connected to Oyster Bay who died in the attacks.

Some came to Tobay to see the memorial, while many beach goers also quietly filed by, but all came to honor the victims and remember a terrible day.
