Tell Us: How Many Days Are You Without Power?

Let us know how you're coping.

LIPA's initial goal to restore power to 90 percent of Long Islanders by Wed. 11 p.m., has been pushed to Nov. 11.

For those coping without power, that date most likely can't come soon enough.

"My mother has been out since Monday," wrote one reader. "She is 74 and refused to leave her home."

Meanwhile, families are reporting that they, their children and their elderly relatives are getting sick. Some say their homes are below 50 degrees.

Does your street have power? Do you know of blocks still in the dark? Trees that need clearing? How are you and your family coping?

Tell us in the comments.

I am going to start posting the # of Days I am without power on the front of my house...I think we should all hang signs with the # of days. Tomorrow morning "12" goes in my front door. The press will love it.

I'm in. I have no doubt I'll be 12 days in tomorrow morning. BTW, the good news is I won't have any mice or crickets in the house. It's too cold for them.

Just saw. Family walk into their home and turn on the lights on Concord Rd. They cheered and jumped aro nd for joy. Friends in the Park Section have power and there are utility trucks putting in new poles on Concord. Would love to hear when we will get power on Revere Road
