Two Hurt in Old Country Road Collision

Plainview Fire Department responds to Saturday morning crash on Old Country Road.

One person was sent to the hospital and another injured in a head-on collision in Plainview Saturday morning, according to responders at the scene.

Two vehicles collided head-on in the eastbound lane of Old Country Road at the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway overpass, at approximately 8:54 a.m. Responders from the  and Nassau County Police treated two people for injuries, including the female driver of the car.

She was taken to nearby  with a leg injury while the driver of the SUV was evaluated at the scene, according to a responder.

The collision, which buckled the hood of one car, didn't appear to be serious. One westbound lane was closed as fire fighters secured both vehicles.
